Dr. Pethkar earned his medical degree from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad, India.
He completed his internship training in Internal Medicine at the Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital in New York.
He received Internal Medicine residency training at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Pethkar completed fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan.
